Our story
Flat Run Corgis began with a little girl, a livestock show, and a dream that just wouldn’t go away.
Holli grew up in the livestock world, spending countless weekends on the road at cattle shows across the country. And at every show, without fail, someone was selling corgi puppies. Holli begged. She pleaded. She cried. But with her parents’ hectic travel schedule, the answer was always no. Still, the love for corgis stuck—and quietly waited its turn.
Fast forward to 2010, when Drew and Holli got married and finally welcomed their first corgi, Gabby, a sweet tri-colored girl who instantly became part of the family. A year later, Tucker, a red corgi with a big personality, joined the crew. Gabby and Tucker logged thousands of miles riding along to cattle sales, becoming constant companions through long days, early mornings, and everything in between.
When their son Knox was born and spent two long months in the NICU, those corgis became more than just pets—they were emotional anchors, offering comfort, routine, and unconditional love during one of the hardest seasons of life. Dogs have a way of showing up exactly when you need them most, and Gabby and Tucker did just that.
The original plan was to breed Gabby and Tucker, but life had other plans. Gabby was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at a young age, and breeding was no longer an option. While disappointing, her health always came first.
Years later, as Knox and his little brother Breck grew older, the boys were gifted their own tri-colored corgi, Stella. Stella reignited the long-held dream—and became the foundation of our breeding program.
Today, Flat Run Corgis is a family-run program based in Central Kentucky, built on over 20 years of passion for the breed. We proudly raise AKC and CKC Pembroke and American Corgis, and every dog here is first and foremost a beloved member of our family.
Our corgis are raised in our busy, love-filled home on a small farm, surrounded by sheep, chickens, vegetables, kids, muddy boots, and lots of fresh air and sunshine. They’re well-socialized, deeply loved, and accustomed to real life—because we believe that’s the best way to raise confident, happy puppies.
When you bring home a Flat Run Corgi, you’re not just getting a puppy—you’re getting a piece of our story, our family, and a lifetime of love wrapped up in short legs and a big heart.
